Abdulmalik Uthman, the son of the late Obama DMW, has composed a heartfelt ode to his father's employer, Davido, who turns 31 today.
In a tearful Instagram post, Malik thanked Davido for never turning him down and for sticking by him in the wake of his father's death.
He said that one of the hardest things in life is to keep up a commitment, yet the artist persisted.
He remembered how, in one of his heartbroken moments, Davido had comforted him and called him a son. He expressed his gratitude, calling him a humble, talented, and gifted man.
“Dad, I am writing this from the bottom of my heart, keeping a promise is one of the hardest things in life. You promised to help me since I lost my father. You never rejected me, you loved me just the way a father should love his child.
Every video of us you always “My son”. Dad, my father would be very grateful for all you do for me.
I love you so much. There was a day I was so broken, but when we spoke he didn’t just solve my issue, he spoke to me “My son hope you really good”.
These words are so genuine and lovely.
“I swear y’all don’t understand what he has done for me”.
