Helen Williams, Nigerian Stylist Breaks Guinness World Record for Longest Handmade Wig
Nigerians hairstylist Helen Williams, has added Nigerian name
once again into the Guinness world records for crafting the world’s longest
handmade wig.
The announcement was made by Guinness World Records on Tuesday, November 14 via a tweet on their verified social media page.
Helen’s creativity spans an impressive 351.28 meters (1, 152 ft
5 in), earning her the longest handmade wig title, according to the official release
from the Guinness World Records.
Helen
spent an incredible 11 days and nearly two million naira (£2,031; $2,493)
bringing her fantasy to live, according to GWR.
The
base of the wig was tremendously constructed with wig-cap netting and black
cloth, neatly fastened to a cycling helmet.
Subsequently, Helen completed the hairpiece using 1,000 bundles
of hair, 12 cans of hair spray, 35 tubes of hair glue, and an impressive 6,250
hair clips.
